Sometimes, when I say “I’m fine,” I don’t really mean it. There’s a quiet storm inside me a heaviness that words can’t hold, a silence that aches louder than sound. What I truly wish, is for someone to wrap me in their arms, to look into my eyes and softly whisper, “No… I know you’re not fine.” In that small, tender moment, the world feels a little lighter, my fears loosen their grip, and the loneliness fades into warmth.
